Y Vy Truong

Y Vy Truong is in her last year of her undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She is completing her double major in English Literature and History, and completing coursework in Asian Canadian Asian Migration Studies (ACAM). Her research interests are in contemporary art practices emerging from Asia and Asian diaspora communities in North America, and how those practices intersect with historical narratives and archival methods. This past summer she held the position of library enhancements coordinator at Centre A Vancouver International Centre for Contemporary Asian Art and the Finlayson Collection of Rare Asian Art Books, where she worked closely with curators and artists in developing public reading rooms as viable community and research resources. This year she received the Fellowship for Digital and Inclusive Excellence with the Association of Research Libraries.
