Wanda John-Kehewin is a Cree writer, originally from Kehewin, Alberta, moved to BC in 1991. Wanda has been a literary performer and publishing poet since 2011 when she picked up her pen again, which she put down when she was 16. She has performed her work at many local events. Wanda has written two poetry books, is working on a graphic novel set to come out in 2021. She has also published two children's grade 1 and grade 2 readers with Indigenous content available in a set through Rubicon Press. She has also written her first feature film script and is working with a director to move this project forward. Wanda is a mother and her children definitely contribute to her creative writing process.
