Madiha Sikander graduated from the National College of Arts in Lahore, Pakistan, specializing in miniature painting. She works around issues of historical erasure and memory.

Her work has been exhibited in Pakistan and internationally in India, Singapore, Paris, London, USA and Switzerland. Her work was a part of the Sri Lankan Biennale in 2012 and the Kochin Biennale, India in 2014. She has participated in residencies at Theertha Artist Collective in Sri Lanka and Bundanon Arts Trust in Australia and the International Wasanii Workshop in Kenya. She was awarded the UNESCO Aschberg Award for Emerging Artists in 2014 and the B. C. Binning Award in 2017. She is currently a master’s candidate at University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.
